Redefining Fast Food on Campus at WVU

IDL Supports the Launch of Sheetz’s New Concept Store

IDL Worldwide worked closely with Sheetz, a quick-but-not-fast food chain, to develop new graphic elements within their new grocery and café concept. The Sheetz concept locations play with the idea of an elevated convenience store experience: a much-loved walk-in beer cave, a small grocery market and made-to-order versions of convenience store food like nachos, wraps and chicken strips.

A New Level of Convenience

IDL worked with the creative team at Sheetz to help bring this highly personalized food concept to life for students of West Virginia University. No shame in the sub-mayo-add-extra-peppers order at Sheetz.

IDL’s design team created graphics, engineered and manufactured the store’s new signs and other store elements, then installed during a weeklong onsite installation. As a result of the redesign, the original Sheetz concept store reported increased traffic and sales, and successfully laid the groundwork for subsequent store openings.

For students, convenience is the name of the game.

With rising interest in both the quality of food and the quality of the experience, Sheetz fits modern student tastes. IDL's focus on designing creative, immersive experiences helped this Sheetz location become a destination for a quick, but fun food experience.
